Hi, I’m Christina Henrickson, a certified labor and postpartum doula and founder of Loving Care Doula Services. I’ve been supporting families across Metro Detroit for over five years, offering guidance, encouragement, and hands-on help during some of the most important moments in their lives.

As a mom of twin boys, I understand just how overwhelming those early days can feel. The sleepless nights, the constant questions, and the emotional rollercoaster of new parenthood are all things I’ve lived through myself. That experience fuels my passion to provide the kind of care I wish I had—personalized, nonjudgmental, and rooted in both knowledge and compassion.

Whether you’re preparing for birth or navigating life with a newborn, my role is to be a steady, calming presence in your home. I support families with everything from feeding and sleep routines to emotional reassurance and practical household help. I serve areas throughout Metro Detroit including Birmingham, Bloomfield Hills, and Northville, and I tailor my care to meet each family's unique needs.

When I’m not working with clients, I’m spending time with my boys, enjoying the beautiful chaos of motherhood, and finding joy in the small moments. I truly believe that aside from being a mother, supporting other moms and families is my life’s purpose!

  • "We were so lucky to have Christina for those first few weeks postpartum. She went above and beyond to learn our routines right away and make it easy. She has a really warm and caring personality and is amazing with the baby, and was always on time every single night. She even jumped in with virtually no notice to help care for the baby when we ran out for a last minute medical appointment."

  • "Christina did an awesome job supporting us during delivery and after. I love her attitude and everything about her. She made me feel super relaxed and supported. She was a great advocate and supported my husband as well; showing him everything he needed to help me during delivery. I can't recommend her enough."

  • "Christina was a God send leading up to and during labor and delivery. She helped us tremendously to deal with all the surprises that inevitably come up during pregnancy and laboring. She was a calming presence, and even the nurses commented on how involved she was willing to get (she literally straddled me during labor so she could apply pressure to my back when I started having back labor). She was a real trooper for getting through a 30 hour labor that ended in a c-section, with us. We could not imagine what it would have been like to not have her there. And we gained a friend in the process.

  • "Christina was absolutely wonderful to work with. She helped our family during those first few tough postpartum weeks. I always felt a sense of calmness and relief when she was here, and that is a big testament to her demeanor. It was wonderful to have a doula that was so trustworthy to attend to my newborn, engage with my toddler, and be a companion to me."
